Quick installation guide to set up Kora IDE on Windows in under 60 seconds.
Click the Download button on the homepage or navigation bar. You will receive the latest official installer for Windows (Kora.IDE.Setup.2.1.0.exe, ~148.6 MB).
Double-click the downloaded setup file. The installer will automatically configure necessary components and place a desktop shortcut.
Launch Kora IDE from your Start Menu or Desktop. Click 'Open Folder' in the File menu or Explorer to select your project directory. Kora will automatically index all project files.
You are ready to code! Your files appear in the left Explorer tree, the Monaco editor is in the center, and the AI Assistant is ready on the right.
Leverage Agent, Ask, and Plan modes to accelerate your coding workflow.
Agent Mode autonomously reads multiple project files, writes code, creates new components, and executes terminal commands with your approval.
Ask Mode provides lightning-fast answers to conceptual questions, algorithm design, syntax lookups, and code explanations without altering your files.
Plan Mode creates structured technical implementation blueprints, outlines breaking changes, and formulates step-by-step verification strategies.
Type @ in the chat input to mention specific files, folders, or functions to provide targeted context directly to the AI.
100% private on-device voice transcription without sending audio to the cloud.
Open Settings → Audio. Select your preferred Whisper model (e.g. whisper-tiny or whisper-base) and click download. Models are stored locally on your hard disk.
In the chat input bar, click the Microphone icon. The button will glow blue and pulse while listening.
Speak your prompt or instruction in English or Bengali. Click Stop or pause speaking, and your speech will be converted to text instantly.
Connect free cloud models, local Ollama models, or custom API endpoints.
Kora IDE comes with pre-configured cloud access out of the box with zero setup required.
Go to Settings → Providers. Select Google AI Studio, paste your free API key from aistudio.google.com, and fetch the latest Gemini models.
Run 'ollama serve' on your PC, select Ollama in Settings → Providers, and connect directly to run models like Llama 3, DeepSeek, or Qwen 100% offline.
Select 'Custom / Other' to connect OpenRouter, Together AI, vLLM, or any custom API with optional authentication and multi-key rotation.
Automatic snapshot time machine to inspect diffs and safely revert changes.
Every time the AI modifies files in your project, Kora IDE creates a timestamped checkpoint snapshot before applying edits.
Click the Checkpoint icon in the chat header to view the list of snapshots. Click 'Revert' to open a visual side-by-side Monaco diff showing all additions and deletions.
Confirm the rollback to immediately restore your project files to the exact state before that prompt.
Run commands, dev servers, and tests inside the built-in ConPTY terminal.
Press Ctrl + ` or click the Terminal tab in the bottom panel to open a high-performance Windows PowerShell or Command Prompt terminal.
When the AI wants to run a build or install a package, it will prompt you for approval with the exact command for safety.
